Pedro, Maria and Paulo are three inseparable teenagers who face the dramas and disappointments typical of their age. When they meet they enjoy their only moments of happiness and freedom while trying and risking what no one may know. At home, Pedro finds a jobless and lethargic father, an absent and disingenuous mother. When his grandfather moves in with the family in Lisbon from an isolated village in the North, Pedro is faced with a dilemma: to give an opportunity to the one who really wants to know him or to keep the pact of liberation that bonds him to his friends. The path he takes leads the family to an abyss of remorse that will make it impossible to pretend that Nothing Ever Happened.
